Florida Marlins announce first five Baker Concrete Super Saturdays for 2010 season 03/15/2010 2:53 PM ETMLB.com
MIAMI -- The Florida Marlins announced today the highly anticipated return of Baker Concrete "Super Saturdays" at Sun Life Stadium. For the fourth consecutive season, each of the 13 Saturday home games will be designated as a Super Saturday, consisting of a post-game concert featuring internationally acclaimed recording artists, amazing fan giveaways and firework spectaculars immediately following the game. The concert and fireworks are free with each ticket purchased for the Marlins game that night. In addition, the Marlins are featuring a special 15-game Super Saturday ticket plan, which includes discounted pricing on tickets to all 13 home Super Saturdays, Opening Night (April 9) and Closing Day (Oct. 3). Baker Concrete Super Saturdays will also feature pre-game parties at The Strike Zone at Gate H featuring " Celebrity, player and alumni autograph sessions " Billy The Marlin, Lil' Billy, the Mermaids and Manatees " Special prizes and live TV/radio broadcasts " Interactive giveaways for the first 15,000 or 25,000 fans The first five performances for the 2010 Baker Concrete Super Saturdays are:
April 10 - Nelly, Kevin Rudolf and New Boyz New York City native Kevin Rudolf produced and wrote his debut album, "In The City." Kevin's album smoothly blends pop, rap, and rock melodies as demonstrated by his single "Let It Rock" featuring Lil Wayne, which reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Kevin recently released his new single "I Made It (Cash Money Heroes)," featuring label mates, Lil Wayne, Birdman and 3x platinum, British hit-maker du jour, Jay Sean. Young rappers The New Boyz lead the jerk movement with their hit song "You're a Jerk," the first single from their Skinny Jeanz And A Mic album. The duo of Ben J (born Earl Benjamin) and Legacy (Dominic Thomas) formed in 2009 as an underground youth phenomenon from southern California and in just a matter of months, they've become rising national stars. New Boyz's singles like "Colorz" and "Tie Me Down" reflect the typical teenage life, everything from current fashion trends to relationships.

May 29 - Luis Enrique and Jerry Rivera After his first album release, "Empezando A Vivir," Puerto Rican Jerry Rivera was nicknamed "The Baby of Salsa." His second album, "Abriendo Puertas," produced the number one hits: "Esa Niña," "Dime," "Nada Sin Ti," and "Como un Milagro." His third album, Cuenta Conmigo, won three Platinum Record awards in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Colombia. It also became the most-sold salsa album in history and held the number-one spot in the Latin American Billboards for three consecutive months. Rivera was awarded two Premio Lo Nuestro Awards for "Singer of the Year" and "Album of the Year" and Sony Records presented him with three Crystal Awards. His other albums include "Cara de Niño," "Lo Nuevo y lo Mejor," "Magia, Fresco," "Ya No Soy El Niño Aquel", "De Otra Manera"," "Oro Salsero," "Historia 1," "Para Siempre," "Rivera," "Vuela Muy Alto" and "Ay Mi Vida." "Cantando A Mi Idolo... Frankie Ruiz," a tribute album to his idol Frankie Ruiz earned him a Latin Grammy nomination. His latest album "Caribe Gardel" is a musical tribute to the Argentine tango legend Carlos Gardel. Most recently, Jerry Rivera was nominated for the 2010 Premios lo Nuestro Tropical Artist of the Year.
June 19 - Sergio Vargas and Milly Quezada Milly Quezada, Latin Grammy-winning Dominican Merengue music singer, is known to many as The Queen of Merengue. During the 1980s, Quezada was the lead singer of a group named Milly y los Vecinos. The group enjoyed international success, producing 20 records, but Quezada later decided to embark on a solo career. In 1998, she was the winner of Billboard Award as best female performer tropical. Her latest release "MQ" and includes the famous hits "Vamo 'pa' la calle" and "Quiero Ser." The pre-game festivities, post-game concert and fireworks are free with each ticket purchased for the Marlins game.
