Open Tryout Camp
The Florida Marlins will be holding their annual Open Tryout Camp on Monday, March 3, 2008 at their Spring Training facility in Jupiter, FL. The one day camp is for amateur players 16 - 24 years old (and not currently participating in a College Baseball program) and released players with prior professional experience. High School players must have written permission from their school Principal to attend. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The tryout will begin at 9:00 a.m. sharp. Players arriving after 9:00 a.m. will not be allowed to participate in the tryout.

Players should come dressed in appropriate workout gear as locker room facilities will not be available. Players are to bring their own gear (spikes, gloves, bats, etc.). Catchers are encouraged to bring their own gear if they have it. This will be a one day camp only and should conclude by mid afternoon on Monday. Any travel expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the individual player. There are no fees to attend this tryout.

The Marlins Jupiter Complex is located just south of the city of Jupiter. Take I-95 to the Donald Ross Road exit. Travel east approximately 1/4 mile through the first light (Heights Blvd). Make the next left on to Parkside Dr. (Abacoa development entrance) and continue straight ahead through the first stop sign (golf course & townhouses on your left, parking garage and theater on your right). Parking is available in the grass parking lot to your immediate right just after you pass the back of the theater building. The main stadium will be off to your right and the minor league fields straight ahead and to your left just beyond the Marlins Player parking lot and maintenance building. All participants must enter and register at the gated entrance between fields 4 & 5 that are adjacent to the road that borders the baseball complex.
