Mission Statement

The Florida Marlins Community Foundation (FMCF) was established in January 1999.

A community foundation represents the resources of a large number of donors rather than one individual or family. Revenue comes from five sources: player contributions, corporate sponsorships, grants, events and ongoing programs.

The money raised is used to support "Cornerstones for Kids" - building a brighter future through education, the arts and baseball. Since its inception, the FMCF has given back over $5 million dollars to the community!

The purpose of this not-for-profit charitable organization is to promote educational, athletic, health, social and community service programs with a particular focus on South Florida's youth.

AWARENESS DAY AND ICE CREAM FESTIVAL

The Third Annual Ice Cream Festival will take place on August 17, 2008 after the Marlins/Cubs game. Edy's Ice Cream will provide a variety of flavors of ice cream for all guests in attendance. There will also be an ice cream eating contest for children at the event. Tickets are only $10 to participate in this fun opportunity to support the Cornerstones For Kids programs.
