ALS "LOU GEHRIG'S DISEASE" AWARENESS DAY AND ICE CREAM FESTIVAL
The Third Annual Ice Cream Festival will take place on August 17, 2008 after the Marlins/Cubs game. Edy's Ice Cream will provide a variety of flavors of ice cream for all guests in attendance. There will also be an ice cream eating contest for children at the event. Tickets are only $10 to participate in this fun opportunity to support the Cornerstones For Kids programs.

12TH ANNUAL DINNER ON THE DIAMOND PRESENTED BY 790 THE TICKET
The 12th Annual Dinner on the Diamond raised $32,000 for the Daily Bread Food Bank, Camillus House and the Florida Marlins Community Foundation thanks to all guests, including presenting sponsor 790 The Ticket and benefactor sponsor FSN Florida. This annual event allows fans to get to know Marlins players on a personal level and experience the thrill of spending the day on the Marlins playing field. The event offered activities for fans of all ages. A new feature this year included a "Fishy Feud" game with the Dos Amigos of 790 The Ticket. Marlins fans won the opportunity to compete for the title along with the Helms, Jacobs and Ross families.
SPRING TRAINING PARTY WITH THE FOUNDATION
The fifth annual "Party with the Foundation" took place on Saturday, March 15 at Roger Dean Stadium. The annual "Party" offered Marlins fans the chance to enjoy a Marlins Spring Training game on the Party Deck in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a ballpark style buffet and received a game ticket. Fans bid on auction items, won Marlins memorabilia through the raffle, spun the prize wheel and interacted with Billy The Marlin. There was also a question and answer session with Marlins players Andrew Miller and Jason Wood.
BANKUNITED MARLINS CELEBRITY CLASSIC
The 2008 BankUnited Celebrity Classic on Thursday, February 7 granted Marlins fans the opportunity to join Marlins players, coaches, broadcasters and other local celebrities during a beautiful day at Bonaventure Country Club. Thank you to our sponsors BankUnited and Sharp Business Systems, donors, foursomes and other supporters of this exciting event. The golf tournament netted $72,000 for the Cornerstones for Kids programs...building a brighter future through education, the arts and baseball. Take a look at the results and photographs.

"BASEBOWL" TOURNAMENT
The Fifth Annual "BaseBowl" Tournament will take place at Lucky Strike Lanes on Miami Beach on Sunday, September 28 during the last game of the regular season. This fundraising event allowed Marlins fans to participate in a bowling tournament with a fun and exciting atmosphere. Come support FMCF and enjoy watching the Fish during the final regular season game of 2008.
FANS CARE WEEKEND

Your tax deductible donation to the Florida Marlins Community Foundation will help purchase game tickets for less fortunate youth in South Florida. Over the past four seasons, the "Fans Care" program has enabled 55,000 children to attend a Marlins game. All donors will be recognized on Marlins Vision and those in the "Double" category or higher will receive additional benefits.
The 2008 Fans Care Weekend will take place on September 12 and September 14. Children who participate in local South Florida youth organizations will experience the thrill of a Major League Baseball game, many for the first time in their lives. Fans Care kids will attend the Friday, Sept 12 or Sunday, Sept 14 Marlins game. All the pre-game activities for the Fans Care Weekend will take place on Sunday, Sept, 14.

FMCF GARAGE SALE
The 2008 Annual Garage Sale will take place on Sunday, September 14th at the Broward Health Community Corner. Fans can shop for a variety of items such as autographed items from current Marlins players, former players, promotional items, framed memorabilia and a variety of game-used equipment.
FSN FANTASY AUCTION
The 2008 FSN Fantasy Auction, brought to you in part by Sharp Business Systems, raised over $52,000 during FSN Florida's live telecast of the Marlins versus Phillies game on June 10. For the third consecutive year FSN Florida, the exclusive regional television home of the Marlins, hosted a special on-air auction giving viewers the opportunity to bid on nine once-in-a-lifetime Marlins-themed packages. This was the most money raised through the auction since the event started," said Nancy Olson, Executive Director of the FMCF. "We will be able to fully fund our contribution to Teach for America with the proceeds as well as make other contributions and grants," said Olson.
This year five "miniature" packages were also offered along with the popular Marlins Pledge Packs. There are still Pledge Packs available for a $100 donation. Each pack includes a Fredi Gonzalez signed ball, Tommy Bahama items, baseball caps and more.

MARLINS FOURTH ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER
The Fourth Annual Marlins Awards Dinner, presented by FSN Florida was a great opportunity for Marlins players and fans to enjoy each other's company beyond the baseball field. The event recognized the individual performances of Marlins players from the 2007 season and presented community-based awards. This year's event took place on February 8 at the Diplomat Country Club & Spa in Hallandale Beach and raised $34,000 for the Cornerstones for Kids programs.
The BBWAA recipients included: Kevin Gregg (Most Improved Player), Matt Lindstrom (Rookie of the Year), Matt Treanor (Charlie Hough "Good Guy" Award), Hanley Ramirez (Team MVP). The Community Awards included: Heart of the Community (Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program), Shirley Barr ("Rose Hicks" Volunteer of the Year) and Rich Waltz (Outstanding Service).
MDA "JERSEYS OFF THEIR BACKS" RAFFLE
The 10th Annual MDA "Jerseys Off Their Backs" raffle will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2008 during the Marlins/Phillies game. As a special edition to the regular Super Saturday Raffle, this event offers fans the opportunity to win game-used and autographed jerseys from Florida Marlins players. Each ticket is a $5 donation or five for $20. The FMCF donated $6,000 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in 2007.

MINOR LEAGUE NIGHT
Minor League Night will take place at the Broward Health Community Corner at section 149 on September 12, 2008. Memorabilia from the Florida Marlins Minor League affiliates will be represented including the Albuquerque Isotopes, Carolina Mudcats, Jupiter Hammerheads, Greensboro Grasshoppers and Jamestown Jammers. These items will be featured through various auctions, raffles and grab bags. We hope to see you there.

SPRING TRAINING YOUTH BASEBALL CLINIC
The second annual Spring Training Youth Baseball Clinic took place on March 9, 2008 and offered the first 100 children to sign up the opportunity to learn from the pros. Clinic stations were set-up on the practice field, batting cages and pitching mounds at Roger Dean Stadium. Marlins players and Coaches, including Alfredo Amezaga, Gaby Hernandez, Jim Presley, Cody Ross and Mark Wiley instructed the participants on the fundamentals of baseball, which included pitching, hitting, fielding and base-running stations. The 2008 clinic was a sell-out.
WIVES GRAND AUCTION
The fourth annual Marlins Wives Grand Auction took place on Saturday, June 28 and featured Marlins Tackle Boxes unique to each player's personality. Each tackle box represented a Marlins player and included items such as game-used autographed memorabilia, experiences and more. The event raised over $9,000 with all proceeds benefiting the SOS Children's Villages - Florida.
WRIGLEYVILLE

Wrigleyville returns August 15-17, 2008 when the Chicago Cubs visit Dolphin Stadium for the team's only South Florida visit during the 2008 season. Fans are welcome to visit the Broward Health Community Corner at section 149 to view silent auction items, raffle prizes, grab bags and more with a Marlins and Cubs theme.
2007 Wrigleyville Recap
On Tuesday, Sept. 25, former Marlins and Cubs player, Andre Dawson, helped raised funds at Wrigleyville during a pregame visit. On Thursday, Sept. 27, MLB Hall-of-Famer and former Chicago Cubs pitcher, Fergie Jenkins, attended Wrigleyville at the Community Corner. Jenkins offered a variety of items from his Foundation and signed autographs for a donation. Over $2,900 was raised with the assistance of the Fergie Jenkins Foundation at Wrigleyville. This money was distributed to various Boys & Girls Clubs in South Florida. The Boys & Girls Clubs of America is the official charity of Major League Baseball. During the three-day Wrigleyville event, from Sept. 25-27, 2007 over $5,800 was raised to support the Cornerstones for Kids programs.
Fort Lauderdale Billfish Tournament
February 27 - March 2, 2008

The 43rd Annual Fort Lauderdale Billfish Tournament silent auction and raffle raised $4,000 for the Florida Marlins Community Foundation. The auction/raffle was part of the "Five Days of Sea" Music and Food Festival at Las Olas Marina in Fort Lauderdale, February 27 - March 2. The tournament attracted hundreds of anglers from South Florida and across the country to showcase South Florida's excellent fishing in a tournament format.
