 Teach for America
The Florida Marlins are proud supporters of Teach for America. For the second year, the Florida Marlins Community Foundation has provided a $20,000 donation to Teach for America to sponsor four teachers in Miami. More »

 Get Hooked on Reading...with Billy the Marlin
Billy the Marlin is reaching out to South Florida's youth to promote literacy. The purpose of the program is to encourage children to read by showing them the importance of reading. Teachers, Get Hooked on Reading for your chance to win a classroom visit from Billy The Marlin! More »

 High School Media Day
Once a year, the Marlins invite high school students with strong interest in the fields of sports journalism, television/radio production and sports photography to take part in this unique program. Participants have the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at a Major League Baseball organization and obtain first-hand stories from members of the media that cover the team.

 Adopt-A-Classroom
Adopt-A-Classroom is a not-for-profit organization that matches businesses and individuals with inner-city schools. Each $500 donation provides the teacher of the adopted classroom the opportunity to purchase items that make learning fun and exciting for students -- from crayons and paints to books and computer programs.

 Breaking Barriers
Breaking Barriers: In Sports, In Life is a multi-curricular character education program developed by Major League Baseball, the Major League Baseball Players' Trust for Children, and Scholastic, Inc. Using baseball-themed features, activities, and lessons, the program is designed to teach children the values and traits they need to deal with barriers and challenges in their lives. More »

 Marlins @ School
The Florida Marlins provide a free online curriculum enhancement program for South Florida schools, to make learning more fun and compelling for kids.

Marlins @ School utilizes the Florida Marlins as the basis for the lessons. The program targets children in grades 4 through 6, and the lessons are linked to the curriculum areas of language arts, mathematics and science. All lessons are in line with FCAT standards and requirements. More »

 Billy's Bunch Summer Reading Series
Hey kids, want to join Billy the Marlin for the Billy's Bunch Summer Reading Series? All you have to do is read a book, complete one of the activities, and send it to the Florida Marlins. Once we receive your activity, we'll send you a Billy's Bunch Summer Reading Series Prize Pack and enter you into a random drawing for the grand prize.

 Speakers Bureau
The mission of the Florida Marlins Speakers Bureau is to educate fans and convey a positive message about the sport of baseball. The Speakers Bureau encourages front office members to actively communicate the Club's vision for the future, while listening carefully to the community for feedback.

Requests for speakers should be sent in writing at least six weeks prior to the event (including the date, time, location of event and topics of interest) to:
