Finally, a Major League Baseball umpire explains the difference between the gloves that the players use and why they are made differently. JUNE 2008 SHOW
Billy's Bunch is back with your favorite fish friend, Billy the Marlin! He joins his pal Stephie and a new kid reporter for an awesome and exciting show! First, you'll learn what it takes to be a Marlins broadcaster like Tommy Hutton, Rich Waltz, and Craig Minervini. Then, watch as our new kid reporter Tim runs around the bases in the Nestle Drumstick Diamond Dash and get the scoop from your favorite Marlins players on how they sign their autographs. Their hands must get pretty tired after all of those signatures! Also, Logan Kensing talks about his little league years and a Major League umpire explains exactly what a "Balk" is.

In addition to all of that fun, we meet up with Marlins Coach Bo Porter as he shows us a little about baseball safety. Plus, we get to see our new kid reporter Tim, as he interviews Marlins players and coaches and gets an inside look at the 12th annual Dinner on the Diamond. Lastly, we get some awesome base-running tips from Marlins outfielder Cody Ross.

Billy's Bunch is back with your favorite fish friend, Billy the Marlin! He joins his pal Stephie and a new kid reporter for an awesome and exciting show! First, you'll learn big league fundamentals from one of your favorite Marlins while he teaches you the proper techniques and form for making a play. Then, watch as Stephie steps off the field and tries her best to learn a dance routine from the Manatees. Stephie really knows how to Boogy Down with those guys! Also, Dan Uggla talks about his little league years and Major League umpire Mark Wegner explains exactly what an "Infield Fly Rule" is.

In addition to all of that fun, we put a microphone on Justin the ballboy for some behind-the-scenes action on the field. Plus, we get to see our new kid reporter Fallon, as she interviews Marlins players and coaches and gets a few pointers about what it's like to be in the Major Leagues. Lastly, Billy learns to do some Big League stretches with Marlins third base coach Bo Porter, and it looks like Billy will be in great shape this year!

FSN Florida will premiere its new Florida Marlins television series - BILLY'S BUNCH - a entertaining, educational and informative show unlike any other designed specifically for kids and their families. Billy the Marlin, the Florida Marlins' popular mascot, is the demonstrative, albeit quiet, co-host of the new show, alongside Stephanie Vainder, who fans know as the Emmy Award-winning host of FSN Florida's previous kids show, "Marlins Strike Zone." The season premiere of BILLY'S BUNCH is Saturday, April 5 at 11:30 a.m. on FSN Florida with multiple encores throughout the month.

BILLY'S BUNCH is a unique baseball experience for the kid in everyone, taking fans beyond the playing field sharing players' interests both on and off the field. Each show offers segments tailored to educate and entertain kids and their families.

On BILLY'S BUNCH, Stephie and Billy the Marlin are joined by young scouts who report, from a kid's perspective, on the latest team-related news. During the debut episode, 11-year-old Stevie, this month's young reporter, asks Marlins players Luis Gonzalez, Dan Uggla, Josh Willngham and Matt Treanor a few unusual questions and receives some surprising answers.

Additional segments each month include:

• "Marlins Press Pass" - young fans tag along and learn about a different job at the stadium each month. This episode features Marlins Manager Fredi Gonzalez.
• The "Did You Know?" segment answers some of the questions inquisitive minds have - such as - How are bats made? This month Billy's Bunch takes a field trip to a MLB bat making facility right here in Florida and shows kids, in an amazing behind-the-scenes tour, how a baseball bat made for hitting major league home runs is designed and manufactured.
• A new "Little Big League" segment shows current players sharing their childhood and Little League memories.
• A "Big League Training" segment offers training tips from Billy the Marlin, coaches and players demonstrating kid-friendly exercises designed to show them how to get stronger, healthier and fitter. Bo Porter, Marlins third base coach, helps Billy with arm exercises.
• The new "Fundamentals R' Fun" segment teaches kids the basic fundamentals of baseball with inside tips and tutorials for aspiring ball players. The first show features Marlins outfielder Josh Willingham.
