Season in Review Show

Marlins fans will have the chance to relive some of the exhilarating walk-off wins, stellar pitching performances and comeback wins from this past season. FS Florida is set to debut the Season in Review Show on Saturday, October 17th at 6:30 PM. Hosted by Craig Minervini, the Season in Review Show will wrap up the 2009 season, showcase some of the personal and team accomplishments of the year, and provide viewers with coaches and staff insights. On the next edition of Inside the Marlins, fans will get the opportunity to catch up with former Marlins stars and see what they've done since retiring from professional baseball. Don't miss your chance to watch former Marlins catcher Benito Santiago, a resident of the South Florida area, reunite with former pitcher Charlie Hough as they threw and caught the first pitch at Marlins New Ballpark Groundbreaking Ceremony. The last episode of the 2009 season will take you behind the scenes with former Marlins pitcher Al Leiter as he prepares to embark on his career after baseball as an announcer with the MLB Network. Inside the Marlins: Where Are They Now? also features former Marlins greats Preston Wilson and Kurt Abbott.

Inside the Marlins chronicles the life and amazing career of Jack McKeon. McKeon's 50-plus year career has revolved around baseball and embraces an unimaginable number of stories including the Marlins' 2003 World Series Championship. Inside the Marlins: Jack McKeon includes interviews with Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria, Marlins President of Baseball Operations Larry Beinfest, former players Tony Gywnn and Cookie Rojas, longtime San Diego Padres announcer Jerry Coleman, McKeon's son-in-law, Greg Booker, whom Jack once traded while he was running the San Diego organization, among others. An all-new edition of FOX Sports Florida's Inside the Marlins takes a look at the new Marlins Minor League Affiliates. Frank Forte will serve as host of the half-hour show that will run during the month of July. Don't miss the inside scoop on the new affiliates Double-A Jacksonville Suns and the Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs as they move closer to home. Fans will get more familiar with new members of the organization and understand the importance of each affiliate in the Marlins system. Don't miss the next edition of Inside the Marlins: Scouting, Search For a Star as Marlins' President of Baseball Operations Larry Beinfest and Vice-President of Scouting and Player Development Jim Fleming discuss the importance and philosophy of the drafting the best talent to the Marlins organization. FOX Sports Florida is putting the viewer right in the middle of the action, giving them a chance to experience the life of a Major League scout and observe the amount of time and energy that is required to succeed at the highest level of competition. In the next edition of Inside the Marlins we take viewers behind-the-scenes during a weekend home series to find out what really goes on in preparation for a game. Fans can catch an inside glimpse into all the activities and events surrounding the team's "Super Saturday" promotions which features an exciting post-game fireworks show and concert. Inside The Marlins: Gameday premieres on Sun Sports Friday, May 29 at 10pm immediately following the Marlins at New York Mets game telecast with encore presentations scheduled to air on both FOX Sports Florida and on Sun Sports throughout the MLB season.

Andre Dawson

Inside the Marlins spotlights MLB and Florida legend Andre Dawson. Born and raised in Miami, he attended Miami Southwest High School and Florida A & M University. An 11th round pick of the Montreal Expos in 1975, Dawson played 21 seasons in the big leagues, amassing 8 All-Star selections, 8 Gold Gloves, and 438 home runs. He was the National League Rookie of the Year in 1977 and the N.L. MVP in 1987 for a last-place Chicago Cubs team. Dawson finished his career in 1995 and 1996 with the Marlins, and now serves as a Special Assistant to the President in the Marlins organization.

Inside the Marlins: Andre Dawson, A Florida Legend debuts on FOX Sports Florida Wednesday, May 6 at 10pm immediately following post-game coverage of the Braves at Marlins telecast.

Catching
Catching: The Backbone of the Team

The catching position is arguably the most demanding in baseball, when one factors in the physical and mental skills needed for the position. As such, it is a premium position and a top priority for major league teams but a difficult position to fill with a quality player. Frank Forte will catch up with Marlins' catchers Ronny Paulino, Brad Davis and Kyle Skipworth as they share their views of life behind the plate.

Fans will learn all there is to know about catching and the various players and coaches involved in this position during the season premiere episode of Inside the Marlins. Inside The Marlins: Catching the Backbone of the Team premieres on FOX Sports Florida Friday, April 17 at 10pm.
