Mae joined NESN in December 2004 as the lead anchor for their SportsDesk news program. She was also the host of NESN's Red Sox week-in-review show, The Ultimate Red Sox Show, and the Boston Bruin in-season show, The Buzz.
Prior to joining NESN, Mae, who grew up in Toronto, was the lead anchor for "Sportscentral AM/ Sportsnetnews" on Rogers Sportsnet, a national sports television network in Canada, and provided sports updates to radio affiliates of Rogers Sportsnet in Ontario. She also anchored the morning edition of SportsNetNews on Rogers Sportsnet. In addition, she was the host of JZone, a weekly show dedicated to the Toronto Blue Jays.
A graduate of York University, she began her broadcasting career hosting a sports update show on campus.
