Entering their fourth Spring Training season in Jupiter, Fla., the Marlins will unveil a young, energetic team under the direction of new manager Joe Girardi, who will be making his managerial debut after serving as the Yankees bench coach last year.

Riding a franchise-high three straight winning seasons, including the 2003 World Series championship campaign, the Marlins are going with different leadership and a dramatically younger team.

Savvy, cigar-smoking skipper Jack McKeon retired after the 2005 season, when the Marlins finished with an 83-79 record. The rebuilt roster includes two-time All-Stars Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Cabrera. Headlining a talented group of newcomers are rookies Jeremy Hermida (right field), Mike Jacobs (first base) and shortstop Hanley Ramirez.

As Marlins fans head to Roger Dean Stadium, one of the nicest Spring Training complexes in the league, here are some questions and answers that should help make their visit an enjoyable one:

When do the Marlins arrive at camp?
Pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training on Saturday, Feb. 18, with the position players following on Feb. 21 (Tuesday). The first full-squad workout is set for Feb. 23 (Thursday).

When do games start?
Continuing what has become an annual tradition, the Marlins play an exhibition against the University of Miami before delving into their Grapefruit League schedule. This year's contest will be a 3:05 p.m. ET start at Roger Dean Stadium on March 1. The next day the Marlins travel to Fort Lauderdale Stadium to take on the Orioles at 1:05 p.m., kicking off their Grapefruit League schedule.

Florida's home opener is March 3, also against Baltimore, at Roger Dean Stadium. A couple of home games in Jupiter to circle on your calendar are March 8, against the Boston Red Sox, and March 18, against the New York Yankees.

Wrapping up the Marlins' Jupiter spring schedule will be a March 30 contest with the Orioles. On March 31, the Marlins visit Frisco, Texas, where they will face the Rangers. And Spring Training concludes on April 1, also against the Rangers, at Ameriquest Field.

How do I get tickets?

Where is Jupiter and how do I get there?
If you're coming from downtown Miami, you are looking at about an 85-mile ride north to Jupiter. The easiest access from Miami-Dade and Broward counties is either I-95 North or Florida's Turnpike North to Jupiter. From I-95, exit at Donald Ross Road (Exit 83) and head east about a half mile. Turn left onto Parkside Drive at the Florida Atlantic University entrance. The stadium is located at 4751 Main Street, less than a half mile off Donald Ross Road.

The Marlins share the Roger Dean Stadium complex with the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Marlins' clubhouse and practice fields are located on the left-field side of the complex.

How can I watch the team work out?
Before Grapefruit League action begins, fans may watch the Marlins' workouts free of charge on the fields behind the big stadium. There are about a half-dozen fields where the players undergo their drills. Typically, Field 2 is where most of the intrasquad scrimmages and B games are played.

Before the start of the Grapefruit League schedule, the Major League team hits the field around 10 a.m. ET and some hitters stay out there well into the afternoon.

Where can I get some autographs?
Gathering autographs is usually a catch-as-you-can situation. Fans willing to arrive early, around 8 a.m. sometimes, can get players to sign as they arrive at the complex. During the workouts before Grapefruit League games begin, some players will sign as they work their way from field-to-field. The best chance is typically after their workouts as they head back to the clubhouse.

Once the games start, the left-field bullpen area is the best location to get players to sign. There is a standing area near the wall, making the players very much in reach.

What else is there to do in Jupiter?
Baseball takes center stage for the six-week Spring Training period, but ballgames aren't the only show in town. Jupiter is known for its beautiful beaches, state parks, fine assortment of restaurants and historic landmarks like the Jupiter Lighthouse. The area sports plush golf courses, a wildlife sanctuary and numerous fishing spots.

Shopping and restaurants are located throughout the area, including eating places next to Roger Dean Stadium in Abacoa Town Center. The Gardens Mall is about five miles south of the stadium, on PGA Blvd.

When do the Marlins open the regular season?
On April 3, the Marlins begin their 14th season on the road, facing the defending National League champion Houston Astros in an 7:05 p.m. ET start at Minute Maid Park. After starting off with a six-game road trip, which includes a three-game set against the New York Mets, the Marlins return to South Florida. Their home opener at Dolphins Stadium is set for April 11, against the San Diego Padres.
