The Marlins and Rockies pulled off a swap of struggling pitchers on Sunday, with Florida sending former closer Jorge Julio to Colorado for right-hander Byung-Hyun Kim.

Julio was acquired from the Diamondbacks during the final week of Spring Training to hold down the Marlins' closer role. After blowing each of his first two opportunities, Julio was removed from the role and spent time on the disabled list with a right calf strain. He pitched in 10 games for the Marlins, going 0-2 while compiling a 12.54 ERA.

Kim voiced his displeasure after losing out in the competition to be the Rockies' fifth starter during Spring Training. He made two relief appearances and a spot start for Colorado this season, posting a 1-2 record with a 10.50 ERA.
