MIAMI -- The Marlins are adding some more pitching depth as they prepare to open Spring Training.

On Thursday morning, the team announced the signings of right-handed pitchers Kiko Calero and Jason Standridge as non-roster invitees. Florida now has 26 non-roster invitees going to Spring Training, which opens on Feb. 14 in Jupiter, Fla.

The 34-year-old Calero made five relief appearances for the A's last year, logging 4 2/3 innings. He added 26 appearances at the Minor League level in 2008.

Born in Puerto Rico, Calero attended Miami-Dade College and St. Thomas University. He has 246 Major League and 210 Minor League games of experience.

Standridge, 30, pitched in three games last season in Japan for Fukuoka Softbank.

The right-hander has appeared in parts of seven MLB seasons, and he has 80 games of big league experience.
